1. Check the device
Record the device model, operating system, available storage and country. Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV use different app catalogues; support for one does not establish support for another.
2. Verify app availability
Request the provider’s supported app name and publisher. Use the device’s official store. Avoid unknown APK files, disabled security settings and unsolicited remote-access requests.
3. Prepare the connection
Follow the manufacturer’s update instructions. Connect to a stable network and test an authorised source. Check HDMI and display resolution settings through the manufacturer’s documentation.
4. Confirm account limits
Ask whether your plan covers the device and how many simultaneous connections are permitted. App purchases and extra lines may be separate costs; request the total before paying.
5. Troubleshoot methodically
Record the error and app version, restart the device and compare another authorised source. Do not assume every buffering issue is a subscription problem.
